Rod served five years in the defence force before spending a decade in Lightening Ridge as an opal miner. He then moved to Tamworth in 2000 to work in the construction industry - starting his own excavation business servicing Tamworth and surrounds before taking a role with SBC. 

 

He came on board to run all the earthworks side of the business and is crucial to the first stages of our projects. He holds tickets to operate machinery such as skid steers, excavators, loaders, cranes, advanced rigging, and dogging, has a forklift licence, and scaffolding ticket.
